I (like many others) start every workday by sorting through my mail. And every day I find a letter of approximately the following format:
Hello,
My name is Masha/Petya/Ira/Vanya, I represent the agency “Horns and Hooves”. We have been on the market for 50 years, our clients include… We have won awards like these… We are included in such and such rating…
Here is our special project for IT… Here is one for a pharmaceutical company… And we also started a Telegram channel, subscribe… Here is our presentation…
When can we schedule a Zoom call (or better yet, a face-to-face meeting) to tell you more about us?

And every time I think: do such letters really work? Or do these authors, like me, write “Thank you, it’s not relevant to us now” — and they don’t phone number library understand what’s going on? Or maybe the goal is not to find clients, but to cast as many fishing rods as possible? I don’t know.
But I do know this: This letter sounds incredibly selfish. “We’ll tell you a few paragraphs about ourselves, and then we’d like to get your time to continue telling you about ourselves during our call or meeting. Then we’ll ask you about your needs and how we can help you, and…” So what? It turns out that I have to show up to meetings every day or so, listen to how agencies and contractors are doing, and then tell them about the needs of the company I work for.
And I wasn’t even asked if I needed it.
This very transition to “when can we schedule a call?” upsets me: it feels like I wasn’t even given the space to express how much I needed this call.
Let me tell you a story. In early December, the beaches offer a truly company netmonet rolled out an updated website. It was one of my last projects, and I am very proud of it: we had been working towards this release for a year. Designers, concepts, ideas changed, and we were sawing the website.
And it would be really cool to receive a letter during this period, for example, with a message like this:
Hi! My name is Masha/Petya/Ira/Vanya, I represent the agency “Horns and Hooves”. We saw your website: it is cool, but in social networks you already have a new identity, with which the site does not match, and indirect logic interferes with good SEO.
We fantasized about how the first screen of your new main site could look like – in the attachment.
We make such sites in a month. We offer turnkey services: we will draw, and layout, and configure with your CRM. If this is relevant to you, we can send more detailed information about ourselves or schedule a call.
How one such letter would help me. Someone marketing list might say: should every company draw the main screen like this? You can’t get enough designers. Okay, fair enough, then:
Hi! My name is Masha/Petya/Ira/Vanya, I represent the agency “Horns and Hooves”. We saw your website: it is cool, but in social networks you already have a new identity, with which the site does not match, and indirect logic interferes with cool SEO. We have already encountered such a problem with such and such a company; for them we redesigned the site like this, here are the before and after, here are the results…
