We have been working with influencers for over 15 years. We were one of the first agencies in Poland to convince brand managers to work with the growing community of bloggers and other online creators.

At the time, it seemed like a risky move, but it was certainly a big innovation in marketing and advertising. You could say we basically developed the standards of the Polish market.

I have always been a supporter of grassroots content and “non-professional” journalism. This is where contact with the recipient is based on trust and a more personal, often dialogic influencer-fan relationship. This arrangement is currently changing. Every larger profile is being monetized quite intensively (and rightly so) and the entire ecosystem is being transformed. This also applies to children and young people who earn significant amounts of money on TikToks and other social media.

I wonder how this mass monetization of created content will affect the advertising market and our society as a whole. Ranking? Quality of teaching? Renown of lecturers? Career prospects of graduates?

Not necessarily. Tiktok influencers choose colleges based on their… aesthetic values ​​and entertainment offerings.

Even if the “traditional” criteria are also important, it is difficult to show them on videos. Meanwhile, a spectacular campus, charming outdoor areas, sports and cultural events provide the material for viral videos. And these, according to rough estimates, translate into $130,000 in annual revenue – because this is the average income of influencers according to ZipRecruiter. Pupils and students who care about the quality of implementation count fans in tens or even hundreds of thousands.

College topics are an increasingly popular category on TikTok. The number of posts with the #college tag has already exceeded 8 million. This number will probably increase, because, according to a Pew Research study, one in five teenagers in the US spends time on the platform “constantly.”

Universities that have been thinking about refreshing the facade or building small architecture should speed up the implementation of their plans. An attractive background for recordings may turn out to be the tipping point when young people choose an educational offer.

Anthropic has given Claude AI the ability to use tools that only humans have been able to handle so far. The AI ​​assistant can recognize objects on the screen, press buttons, select checkboxes, and enter text. The bot is in an experimental phase. New features are currently being tested in collaboration with SaaSs such as Asana, Canva, Cognition, DoorDash, and Replit.

The competition is by no means resting on its laurels. Google is working on a similar tool, but specialized in browser support. Jarvis – because that is the name of the solution – will be able to visit websites independently and perform tasks based on human instructions.

Example use case? Users will be able to ask an AI agent to find the cheapest all-inclusive packages to Hurghada during the holiday season and buy a trip without lifting a finger.

7-Eleven in a new version

The world’s largest convenience store chain intends to open over 600 locations in the US with a new visual identity and a new format.

The project, with the working name “New Standard”, envisages the creation of larger supermarkets with a wider range of products – primarily food. 115 new outlets are planned by the end of this year, and in the next three years, 125, 175 and 200, respectively.

The phenomenon was noticed by a company that has little to do with computer games – at least directly.

IKEA has named 76-year-old Cath Bowie the face of its new BRÄNNBOLL gaming furniture collection. The influencer, known as “Grumpygran1948,” aka grumpy granny, has built a loyal following on Twitch, the popular gaming streaming platform.

Bowie started streaming in 2017 when her grandson introduced her to gaming. She’s done well enough that this year she became a Twitch partner and turned her work into a profit.
